JOURNALIST WHO INSULTED FIRST LADY

A Zimbabwean journalist who was arrested after writing a statement that one parliamentary division divided into ZANU-PF party supporters on behalf of President Bi Grace Mugabe has been fined for $ 200.

Kenneth Nyangani was also instructed to report to the police in the eastern city of Mutare once a week.

He pleaded guilty to profaning the people following the news post in the new NewsDay's new web site.

Police officers in the area of Mutare seized Mr Nyangani on Monday for allegedly writing and publishing information on the underwear donations provided by his wife Robert Mugabe according to Zimbabwean human rights lawyers in their statement.

Zanu-PF ruling party MP The rich man handed over to the Zanu-PF supporters in Mutare and said Mugabe had contributed according to the NewsDay report.
