President John Magufuli has pleaded guilty to the decision made by the International Criminal Court (ICC), which has ordered his prosecutor to initiate an investigation into the Burundian crisis.

The statement issued today on November 11, 2011 in Masaka, Uganda before joining his host, President Yoweri Museveni after completing a three-day tournament.
President Magufuli in a statement by the House of Directors said the ICC judges have issued a decision on November 9, 2011 and asked the prosecutors to investigate crimes against humanity in Burundi since the breakdown of tension two years ago.

President Magufuli said, "This action is backing the efforts taken by the East African Community which formed a Burundian dispute resolution committee led by President Museveni and Tanzanian resident Benjamin Mkapa."

He said the situation in Burundi was not as bad as it was announced as many refugees in Tanzania had returned to the country, while others were still returning.

President Magufuli said the dispute resolution leaders have scheduled to meet November 23, 2011 to develop the resolution process.

Speaking of this, President Museveni, chairman of the East African Community (EAC), said the ICC interfere with the affairs of the community without interfering with the wrongs of the community and repatriating Burundian peace efforts.
