BREAKING NEWS FROM LISSU'S FAMILY

Nairobi. For the first time, Alicia Magabe, who is the wife of a member of MP Singida East (Chadema), Tundu Lissu, has spoken of her husband's assault on shooting and arguing that it could not be based on other factors except the work she has been doing.

He has also talked about his health and explains that it is still not good to ask the Tanzanians to pray for him.

As part of Alicia, who is also a lawyer, Lissu's driver has spoken in a statement that he has been seriously affected by the incident while promising to report to police after returning to the country.

Lissu, who is also president of the Tanganyika Lawyers' Association (TLS), was lying in Nairobi Hospital since being shot dead while driving outside his home in Dodoma on September 7 on the parliament.

"All Tanzanians know Lissu all his life has been the defender's defender and this incident has been derived from his work and I beg them to pray for him," he said.

"I can say that Lissu's situation is not good though it is different from what we brought here, so I ask the Tanzanians to continue praying for him."

He thanked Tanzanians for contributions, and their application to Lissu saying it shows how much they value their contribution to the community.
