Paul Mwirigi relied on well-wishers to finance his campaigns and his travels were catered for by his supporters.
As an elected MP, he had to get to Nairobi to attend a meeting at Statehouse chaired by President Kenyatta and was given a lift by Tharaka MP George Murugara.
Hon Mwirig also used public transport from Meru to Nairobi when he attended the parliament orientation for members.
The humble Mwirigi won the Igembe South parliamentary seat as an independent candidate seeing off Jubilee Party’s Rufus Miriti who came second.
