Refrain (chorus)
Refrain is the word, phrase, line or group of lines that is repeated for effect, several time in a poem. Example;

                                        Mammoth AIDS
                                        Attacks every one
                                        Keep away from AIDS
                                        Beware of AIDS.

                                         Mammoth AIDS
                                         Demolished generation
                                          Keep away from AIDS
                                          Beware of AIDS. 
 Symbols
It refers to specific objects or images that represent abstract ideas. Symbols must be tangible. The author uses symbols to suggest an idea rather than expressing the idea directly. Example;
